Original Mk I versionMike Hill, Quentin Hall, and myself built this vehicle from scratch in about three months (for about Aus$3,000). Some wits have called it the "Sideliner" because we keep on rolling it, putting holes in the crankcase and other fun things, but it is an awesome little machine. |

Sidewinder Mk IIWith the next version Mick and I and now also Jeremy Burtenshaw made a lot of changes including installing a water-cooled, 4-cylinder, 16 valve, twin cam, engine from a 1994 Kawasaki ZXR400 motorcycle which most importantly added electric key-start. No more getting out and having to kick-start the beggar - About bloomin time... :-) Mk II Lancelin video footage |

Sidewinder Mk IIIWayne Johnston fully joined the team for what is now the current version of our Sidewinder. It features another new engine, this time a 450cc twin air-cooled engine off a Suzuki road bike that boasts much better low-end torque, lighter weight and smaller size than the 4 cylinder and being of an older vintage isn't nearly as picky regarding air or fuel flow. It's definitely the pick of the bunch. Mk III Geraldton video footage |
