If you bump into Tiff - ask her why the cage around the replica of Beadell's surveying equipment is so interesting? :-)

The Terra on Trailer towing duty
Tiffany and one of her special friends - we were driving through heaps of spider webs strung accross the track through lots of the Gary hwy
Spinifex in the track through the Gibson
Burnt out trees lined much of the route
the Spinifex wreaked havoc with the vehicles - clogging up the radiators of many of the vehicles and sending engine temperatures soaring
Just a bit of seed
Yes, that is the radiator under all that seed.

Barren terrain of the Gibson Desert

Neeed Shaaade

An amazing lake with water in the middle of the Gibson Desert
Another stop in the Gary Hwy in the gibson Desert
Driving along, all of the Spinifex grass clogging up our engines, the crew in Andrew's 4WD suddenly found flames coming through the air vents
jumping out, revealed a grass fire in the belly of the vehicle
a lot of the electrical wiring (indicator lamps and tail lights mostly) was burnt through but amazingly we were able to carry on
One night after several days in the middle of the gibson, Liz and co surprised us all with a full-on lamb roast dinner and vegies and pudding
it was cooked in a pair of camp ovens plonked in the coals of the camp fire and was the best roast dinner i have ever had
Track? What track?
Ah, I think i can see the track...
